We sell three advertising placements — a directory listing, podcast mentions and a combined six-week partnership — to businesses and organizations around the Quartier des spectacles, Sainte-Catherine Street, Place Ville Marie, the Golden Square Mile and the Concordia–McGill corridor.

Stop 03 — Pricing notes

What the price covers, and what changes it

Each price on the rate card is the full price for that placement, in Canadian dollars. There are no extra add-ons and no separate setup charge.

Prices do not change with the size of your business or the length of your copy, provided your listing description or podcast script fits inside the normal length we use for every advertiser. Longer creative can be discussed before booking, so there are no surprises at approval stage.

Stop 04 — What we don't do

Scope, stated plainly

  • We publish three placements only — no custom packages outside the rate card above.
  • We do not promise sales, leads or a specific business result from any placement.
  • We do not accept advertising for restricted or regulated categories, or copy that misrepresents a product or service.
  • We keep editorial coverage and paid placements clearly separate; every mention is identified as sponsored.

Stop 05 — Who this reaches

Downtown Montréal readers and listeners

Portage Signal covers downtown: the Quartier des spectacles, Sainte-Catherine Street, Place Ville Marie, the Golden Square Mile and the stretch between Concordia and McGill. Advertisers on our rate card are businesses operating in or near that footprint — retail on Sainte-Catherine Street, hospitality around Place Ville Marie, cultural venues in the Quartier des spectacles, and services aimed at the student population around the two universities. We do not report figures for how many people see or hear a placement beyond the page-view and listen counts already included with each booking.

    Use the form on our home page, or write to [email protected], telling us which placement you'd like.

    We confirm dates and creative needs

    You'll hear back within two working days with a proposed schedule and a list of what we need from you.

  3. 03

    You review and approve

    Listing copy or podcast script comes back to you for approval before anything goes live.

  4. 04

    The placement runs, then a summary

    After the run, we send page views or listen counts as agreed at booking.
