3. Description of the service

Portage Signal is a downtown Montréal news site and weekly podcast. We sell three advertising placements: the Downtown Directory Listing ($205 CAD), Signal Weekly Podcast Mentions ($580 CAD), and the Full Coverage Partnership ($1,190 CAD), as described on our Advertise page.

4. Eligibility and user obligations

Advertisers must have the legal right to advertise the products, services or organization described in their booking, and must provide accurate contact and business information.

5. Bookings, orders and payments

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and are payable when a placement is confirmed. See our Payment & Refund Policy below and our Returns Policy below for changes after booking.

6. Intellectual property

All site content, the Portage Signal name and logo, and our published episodes remain the property of SOCIAL MEDIA 55 INC. unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Acceptable use

You may not submit advertising creative that is unlawful, misleading, or for a restricted or regulated category, or attempt to interfere with the operation of this site.

8. Disclaimer

General information. Content on this site is provided by SOCIAL MEDIA 55 INC. for general informational purposes about Portage Signal's news coverage and advertising placements.

Not professional advice. Nothing on this site is a substitute for individual professional or legal advice appropriate to your own business circumstances.

Accuracy and availability. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and current, but we do not warrant completeness. Placement availability, formats and prices may change; the scope confirmed at booking governs your placement.

Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, SOCIAL MEDIA 55 INC.'s liability arising from your use of this site or an advertising placement does not exceed the amount you paid for that placement.

9. Payment & Refund Policy

Scope. This policy covers payments for the Downtown Directory Listing, Signal Weekly Podcast Mentions and the Full Coverage Partnership.

Eligibility. A full refund is available if you cancel more than five business days before your placement's confirmed start date. Returnss within five business days of the start date, or after a listing has gone live or a podcast mention has recorded, are handled under the Returns Policy below.

How to request. Email [email protected] or call +1 438-500-2321, including your booking reference and placement name.

Processing. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Non-refundable cases. Placements already published or aired, and creative approved by you and then withdrawn after production has started, are not eligible for a refund.

10. Returns Policy

How to cancel. Contact us by email at [email protected] or by phone at +1 438-500-2321 during our business hours, Monday – Friday, 09:00–17:30.

Returns windows. Cancelling more than five business days before your confirmed start date is free. Cancelling within five business days may forfeit part of the fee already committed to production, consistent with the Refund Policy above.

Rescheduling. We are usually able to offer a new run date instead of a cancellation — ask us before cancelling if your dates simply need to move.

Returnss by us. If we need to cancel a confirmed placement due to production capacity or unforeseen circumstances, we will offer a full refund or a rebooked date at no extra cost.

11. Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date above shows when they were last revised.
